NC State University Engineering Team

Implements Fall Detection Algorithm

PROJECT: Fall Detection Using FPGA Hardware

A team of North Carolina State University senior engineering students implemented a fall detection algorithm using Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) technology. The team achieved a 1st place award in its category at the school’s Design Day final presentation. The fall detection algorithm was specified by NewCareTec, and Jim Meckstroth, NewCareTec CEO, mentored the team. Congratulations!
