NewCareTec is developing SafeAlert™, an intelligent stairwell safety monitoring solution for residential senior-living communities.

We are seeking a small number of North Carolina senior-living communities to participate as SafeAlert™ Development Partners and influence our “smart stairwell” solution in a real-world environment.

Help Shape the Solution

Our objective is not simply to test a finished product. We want to optimize SafeAlert™ technology implementation together with senior-living operators.

•    The stairwell safety concerns that matter most to your community

•    Desired system capabilities and staff notifications

•    How SafeAlert™ should fit into existing response procedures

•    Installation, maintenance, and operational requirements

•    Privacy and resident-experience considerations

Your experience and guidance will directly inform the evolution of SafeAlert™

Real-World Development & Qualification

NewCareTec would like access to representative community stairwells for development and qualification activities, including:

•    Evaluating sensor placement and stairwell coverage

•    Optimizing edge-AI detection performance

•    Evaluating performance under real-world conditions

•    Collecting non-identifying stairwell activity data

•    Qualifying the solution across different stairwell configurations

•    Refining installation and operating procedures

All activities will be coordinated with the community, with approval required before equipment is installed or testing is conducted

What We Ask of Partners

Community Development Partner commitment is minimal (with no impact expected on staff or residents). What we ask of our Partners:

  • Provide periodic feedback on SafeAlert™ requirements and performance

  • Identify at least one representative stairwell for development activities

  • Approve sensor and gateway locations

  • Provide reasonable access for installation, testing, and evaluation

  • Designate a community contact for coordination

  • SafeAlert™ sensors and associated equipment at no cost during development

  • Installation and configuration

  • Engineering and development support

  • System monitoring and evaluation

  • Equipment removal when requested

  • Sharing of relevant development and evaluation results
